It’s always been a quite unusual Pinot Noir from Russian River Valley in that it comes from a unique soil profile and terroir.

A muted ruby color with a dry earth and light sage nose followed by blackberry blossoms and willow aromatics. Earthy more than fruity. The aromatics are deep and complex, layered and they open at different layers in the wine in the glass. Hints of tea evolve (both black and green). Earth and ash with citrus peel giving a slight tannic profile with a balanced acidity and a long dry finish…Will cellar well and age well, but just plain good now too… My favorite wine with complex Asian concoctions in the meat realm.
