The Vineyard:
9 short rows, rootstock 1103, Clone #7 from Australia. Planted in 1998. Semi dry farmed (minimum irrigation if needed). Hand pruned, hand picked, long hang time.

Tasting Notes:
Dark purple in color with aromas of black fruit, dried plums, and crushed fresh huckleberries (the color matches the crushed huckleberries too)! A dark earth and mushroom component on the nose. A blast on the palate of boysenberries, huckleberries, and plums followed by a dark and toasty oak which rounds out this big wine. Mouth filling, massive with plenty of grip. Serve with steak with gorgonzola sauce or spaghetti in a hearty red sauce or wild game boar, venison, etc.
