A clear medium ruby, with medium extraction and a medium viscosity. A clean moderate intensity on the nose with definite red fruit characteristics bordering on black and blue fruit as well. Aromas of dried cherry fruits and warm spices lofting out of the glass. Some compost and mint nuances as well. Palate is warm, fruity and dry, dominated by cherry, black cherry and black raspberry flavors and acidity. Medium plus acidity. Spice and toasty French oak rounds out the richness of this classic Pinot Noir. Balanced and a medium long finish. How about a juniper rubbed roast duck with cherry jus?
